Our Story & Mission
Green Transition Skills Hub was founded to close the green skills gap facing Ghana's youth and accelerate an inclusive, climate-resilient economy.
Our Mission
To empower skilled youth, support green jobs creation, catalyse climate-smart innovations, and influence policies for a resilient and inclusive economy.
Our Vision
A Ghana where young people — especially women and those from underserved communities — drive an inclusive, climate-smart economy through green skills and enterprise.
Why GTS Hub Exists
Ghana faces rising youth unemployment amid growing demand for skilled labour in renewable energy and climate-smart sectors. While investments in solar energy, decentralised power systems, and green digital solutions are increasing, the workforce pipeline remains inadequate.
Without targeted intervention, Ghana risks missing both its demographic dividend and its green growth potential.
- Limited access to practical, industry-aligned green skills training
- Weak linkages between training institutions and employers
- Insufficient entrepreneurship support for youth-led green enterprises
- Underrepresentation of women in technical green sectors
How We Create Lasting Impact
“If youth are equipped with market-driven green skills, supported with entrepreneurship and employment pathways, and connected to private sector and policy ecosystems, then they will gain decent employment or create enterprises — contributing to inclusive green growth and climate resilience.”
