Your Voice for the Planet
Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing Ghana and the world today. Rising temperatures, floods, droughts, plastic pollution, and environmental degradation continue to affect communities and future generations.
The Climate Speech Competition 2026 provides a national platform for Senior High School students to research, analyse, and communicate innovative ideas and solutions to these challenges — developing critical thinking, public speaking, leadership, and environmental advocacy skills in the process.
Suggested Topics
Participants choose one topic for their abstract and speech. Other relevant topics may be submitted for review.
Competition Structure
National Call for Abstracts
Students apply online, select a topic, and submit a 250–500 word abstract. Applications promoted through social media, school networks, and religious organisations.
Abstract Review & Selection
A panel of reviewers assesses all abstracts. The top 20–30 submissions are shortlisted and invited to the Grand Finale.
Grand Finale
Shortlisted finalists deliver 5–7 minute speeches before a distinguished judging panel, followed by a 3-minute Q&A session.

All submitted abstracts (250–500 words) are reviewed by a panel using the following criteria:

- 02Why this challenge is important for Ghana
