Building a sustainable future requires partnerships, innovation, and investment in people. Green Transition Skills Hub is proud to announce a strategic collaboration with Hytra and Diorite Consult Ltd to explore and develop a pioneering green hydrogen initiative in Ghana.
This partnership reflects our shared commitment to equipping young people and professionals with the skills needed to thrive in the emerging green economy — and to positioning Ghana as a future leader in renewable energy and sustainable industrial development across West Africa.
What the Partnership Involves
Leveraging Ghana's abundant solar energy potential, the proposed project aims to produce renewable hydrogen for international markets while creating sustainable economic opportunities for local communities. Hytra plans to deploy its innovative liquid hydrogen (LH₂) transportation technology to support the efficient export of green hydrogen to Europe and other global destinations.
Beyond clean energy production, the partnership places a strong emphasis on local capacity building. Through Green Transition Skills Hub, the initiative seeks to support skills development, workforce training, and community engagement programmes that will prepare Ghanaians to participate in the emerging hydrogen economy.

GTS Hub's Role in the Partnership
GTS Hub's contribution to this initiative is clear: ensuring that as Ghana's hydrogen economy grows, Ghanaians — especially young people from underserved communities — are trained, employed, and empowered within it. We will design and deliver skills programmes aligned with the technical requirements of hydrogen production, processing, and export operations.
This collaboration is a direct extension of our mission. We exist to close the green skills gap — and green hydrogen is the frontier where that gap is widest and the opportunity is greatest.
